Chameleon Production Studios joined the team in Advanced Media Production PROTO to make some content for their project ‘Operation Bonsai’.

At the end of February and beginning of March, Chameleon Production Studios were in the Advanced Media Production PROTO studio to create some animated content that they could use for music videos and for the promotion of their project ‘Operation Bonsai’.

The team found that they wanted to have bespoke animations with custom props for the characters, and they thought that by using motion capture, they could solve this challenge.

About the Support

On the first day, the band focused on learning all about motion capture and capturing all the content that they needed. Over the course of the session, five performers recorded the choreography, instrument performances and unique character actions.

On the second day in the studio, the team focused on the post-production. They were able to review all of the recorded motion capture content, address anything that was missing, and spend time with the Studio Team to gain a deeper understanding of performance capture and virtual production.

The content produced will not only form a teaser for the band’s new music, but will also form a larger part of their new audience engagement strategy.

“Unmeasurable amount of value from this opportunity.”
