Eddie, the creator of Write Your Song, was frustrated at having to forage through Facebook and search social profiles to work with like-minded people. So he came up with the idea after struggling to find artists to work with. The platform allows people to create a profile and list their musical experience and skills, making it easy for users to find likeminded musicians to collaborate with.
The support
Delivered by Sunderland Software City and developed as part of Sunderland City Council’s Smart City activity, the Tech Startup Sunderland programme offered Eddie free one-to-one tailored support on developing his idea and his digital skills for his new business venture.
The team worked with Eddie to help him build a website and platform. Together the team also hosted an event to help the young founder launch his -new business and reach new audiences.
Eddie said “Since getting involved with my business, the Tech Startup team have been amazing. They’ve been on hand to provide one-to-one support, as well as physically helping to build my website and platform.”
“The team also hosted a launch event for Write Your Song at Independent in Sunderland, to help raise awareness of the platform and what it can offer musicians who dream of writing their own songs.”
