About the Programme

The Digital Pathfinders programme is fully-funded by the North East Combined Authority (NECA) and delivered by Digital Catapult to help organisations across Newcastle, Northumberland and North Tyneside to adopt new technology and improve their digital capabilities. The programme will continue driving productivity and performance improvements for participants until it concludes in April 2025.

This programme has been instrumental in strengthening the North East’s digital infrastructure, enabling participating deep tech companies to scale faster while meeting demand from local businesses for support in adopting new solutions.

Commenting on the findings of the Digital Pathfinders Report, Amanda Potts, Interim Head of Digital Adoption for the Digital Pathfinders programme, said:

“The Digital Pathfinders programme is more than just about adopting technology, it’s about empowering local organisations to thrive in a digital age. We’re incredibly proud of the innovation and resilience we’ve seen from businesses, charities, and social enterprises in the North of Tyne. By equipping them with the tools and knowledge they need, we’re helping to ensure that this region’s small organisations can continue to thrive and grow.”
