My journey with Pitch@Palace started in 2015 as an attendee. I was immediately inspired by the entrepreneurs and the opportunity that was in front of them.
There I was in St James Palace surrounded by hundreds of people who could assist these businesses. Whether they were looking for investment, introductions or mentors the room was overflowing with business angels, VC's and decision makers from some of the country's top companies.
You have to give great credit to HRH The Duke of York for supporting early-stage businesses and assembling the fantastic audiences that attend the events. From Peter Jones (from Dragons Den) to some of the most active business angels, this is genuinely a huge chance to put yourself in the limelight!
I was lucky enough to host a Pitch@Palace on-tour event back in January 2017 and witnessed the journey that companies from the North East went on, in particular Paul Irwin from Trylife. Paul was one of the regional winners and went all the way to the final claiming two prizes. Paul will tell you what a big impact the competition has had on Trylife and the opportunities that it has presented.
