Rather than us shout about how amazing our Tech Talent annual event is (which it really is), I thought it would be even better hearing from someone who came along last year.
Meet Nate. This is his story...
"Last year I attended Tech Talent to find out what jobs were available within the tech sector in the North East. At first, I was a little unsure if it was for me; I am a design thinker/service designer and as you would expect most of the roles were for software developers, testers and product owners. However, I saw one company advertising a role for an "Industrial Designer" and after a discussion (maybe a rant!) about all things design, agile and tech I was invited to interview.
Flash forward almost a year and I am now the Design Strategist, a new role within the company. It has been an incredible experience so far. From the first 6 months defining what my role is within the business to working on fascinating projects, such as the Transport For London Roadlab programme, to speaking at local events such as the first Build IT Right conference.
This year I’ll be returning to Tech Talent on the other side, looking for the next success story!
